Pictographic Design Brief

 Design Brief for London Pub Tour

We are an upcoming London Tourist company looking to put our stamp on the market with a cutting edge logo and map for tourists, this will help to expand our business and build a strong message of what the business is about. This industry demands excellence and precision, which I’m hoping we can build into the designs. We would like to incorporate fun into one of key messages. This logo and Pictorgraphic map will be the face of our organisation.

Target Audience

Our audience which we intend to target will be young tourists to London looking to expand there networks and see the sights and sounds of our city. We aim to become a major player in the tourism industry and continue to gain popularity within the marketplace. We want to show our audience of that we are a committed, fun and professionals.

Requirements

We want our logo to represent the core business values of;

·      Professionalism
·      Safety
·      Reliability
·      Contemporary Designs

If you could attempt to design the logo that may some how depict these values into the design that would be preferable. We do not want to have or use clip art or stock images. Some examples of logos that we like (clean and crisp) -

We would like the Typeface to be bold, which shows confidence in our company. Our ideas of the design will include the text format of the company name. If you could include a variety of options including potential pictures.

For the map of london which will feature in all newsagents, airports and travel shops we would like to show images of fun, drinking, historic monuments of london to be used as landmarks for the pub tour.

The images above are clear, expressive and allow for individual interpretation. We are happy for you to have a bit of freedom with this design and we can liase till we get the finished product.

Budget & Timeframe

We have a budget of $5000 to spend on the design and logo and would like to have it available by the 30th of June 2011 when we will launch our new online showcase which will feature the new logo and updated maps of London.

Environmental Social Concious

I have chosen to design my advertisements for an environmental crisis, cruelty to animals. My first design is targeted towards males as its very clear, bold and easy to make a connection to the issue at hand. I believe men respond better to visual aids such as strong colours and typography. My second design is targeted towards the female audience who enjoy wearing fur garments. I have used a photo of Sharon stone wrapped in fox fur and using my dog 'Shiloh' the Samoyed to make it very clear to the audience where some of the fur is taken from unethically. I think cruelty to animals is a major crisis around the world and would hope these designs may help to change the audiences opinions.
